Priority Waste is proud to partner with Wyandotte to provide top-quality waste and disposal services. We are committed to caring for the environment and the people of Wyandotte, actively supporting local community education and sustainability initiatives.

  • Service Days: Monday – Friday
  • Compost Pickup Period: Voluntary program – If interested, contact the Department of Public Service at 734-324-4581. If a customer joins the program, the contractor will service customer-owned containers up to 32 gallons with a “yard waste” sticker attached. No bags permitted for pick up. Service runs from April 15 through October 18. Christmas tree pick up from December 26 through February 1. Trees shall be picked up and dropped off to DPS.
  • Bulk Pick Up/Special Pick Up: Weekly pick up – no limit. $15 per item containing Freon if no certified sticker is attached.
  • Other Notes: Recycle drop-off center available for residents use

If your service day is on or after the holiday, that week, your service day will be delayed one day.

How do I report a missed pickup or a damaged cart?

What are acceptable recyclable materials?
Paper: Newspaper, junk mail, flattened cardboard and box board, magazines, mixed paper.
Metal: Empty cans and aerosol cans, aluminum, tin.
Plastic: Bottles, jugs, storage containers, tubs.
Glass: Clear and colored glass.
What materials are not accepted for recycling?
Materials not accepted include: Plastic Bags or Film, Plastic Cups, Styrofoam, Food Waste, Storage Bags, Soiled Pizza Boxes, Pyrex or Ceramic, Bubble Wrap Packing Materials, Plastic Silverware, Metal or Plastic Hangers
